“What really makes you tick?” 10 Questions to Ask Yourself: Get ready for self-improvement

“What really makes you tick?” 10 Questions to Ask Yourself: Get ready for self-improvement

Be all you can be, but that's not always the case in the military. I often find myself fairly content with my life as it is, but of course it's hard to think about anything else when there are real issues to discuss.

I still aspire to something deeper and more meaningful.

So we all get into trouble. Honestly, it shouldn't bother us or hold us back from becoming who we are meant to be. As children, ambitions should continue to live within us, even if they are short-lived or as long as we manage to hold on to the dream. They say you can't teach an old dog new tricks...or can they?

1. What do I really want?

Question of the ages. There are so many things you want to do in your life and so little time to do them during the day.

Finding something you're good at can help you take that small step toward improvement. Diligence is the key to knowing that it is worth it.

2. Should I really change?

Today's generation has taken another level of redefining "self", or at least that's what the kids say. Having an army of teenage nieces and nephews has taught me that there are much worse things they can do than acne or maybe even promiscuity. How does this fit into your lifestyle?

If history has taught us one thing, it is the lives we have lived through. Try to see if the 70s party style won't appeal to the younger generation, but dancing is part of partying. Watch them clap after you show them how to really dance instead of breaking their bones breakdancing.

3. What's the silver lining in all this?

With so much going on around us, it seems there is no way to even look at that light at the end of the tunnel. We can still look at it as a positive thing without coming under too much scrutiny. And if the train is at the end of the tunnel, take it for a ride and see what makes the world go round!

4. Am I comfortable with what I am doing?

There is always an easy and right way when it comes to deciding what goes with your shoes, purse, shirt, etc. It doesn't take a genius to see yourself as a unique person, otherwise we would all be equal in everything we do. The variety offers very interesting and exciting questions to try.

5. Have I done enough for myself?

Have you done that or is there something else you want to do? Discontent in all its aspects can be dangerous in large doses, but in small amounts you will be able to see and do things you could never imagine doing.

6. Am I happy with where I am today?

It's an unfair question, so let it be answered! You love being a good, loving mother or father to your children, so take it to the next level! Your children will love you forever. The same goes for everyday life!

7. Am I attracted to the opposite sex?

So I may not have an answer for that, but that doesn't mean I can't try it. Whether you are changing your body shape or changing the way you dress or hair, or even your behavior towards people, you should always remember that it will always be for your own benefit.

8. How much can I get?

I suppose in this case there is no such thing as having too much or too little of things, but more about how badly you need them. I want a lot of money, I don't deny that, but the question is: How much are you willing to work for?

9. What motivates me?

What motivates you? It's an answer you have to find out for yourself. There are so many things that can make everyone happy, but choosing one can be the hardest part. It's not like you can't eat one serving of your favorite food at the buffet and that's it. Just try it piece by piece.

10. What really interests you?

So? What really makes you tick? You can be anything you've always wanted to be, but realizing that achieving something may seem too difficult is already giving up before you even begin that journey. Always remember that self-improvement is not just about a physical or philosophical change that you have to undergo, but something that you really want.
